So, it's early.  One of my start early work days.  Yes, I begin at 6:45 am.  So, this will be short and sweet.  I hope y'all have a great day! Enjoy your coffee, and please drive safely! It's slippery and slushy out there in our Great Canadian Winter.  Have a great one!

And we're off.  I've been asked recently if I have a website where I showcase my knitted goods and baked things, and, well, I don't.  So I asked Google how to set that up.  I've been stumbling around, and came up with this.  It's a work in progress, so please, bear with me.  I don't know how many will read, if any...or even if this is worth the time, but again, we'll see!

If you want to know about me, there are few questions I won't answer, so feel free to put it out there. I can tell you I have a daughter, 17, a son, 8 and a step-son, 24.  I won't be posting pictures of children, or even really mention their names, so don't ask me to. That's creepy to me.  I live with a guy I call my husband though we're not legally married.  We are in our hearts. So there.

Today..Oh today.  We've got roast beef and veggies in the slow cooker, and a double layer chocolate cake waiting for chocolate buttercream icing.
My son asked me for one yesterday while perusing the cookware section of Canadian Tire.  Then, I found this:
Today is Chocolate Cake Day. Why not celebrate it
with our favourite chocolate layer cake. http://cdnl.vg/W39ERz.
Now this is a day we can sink our teeth into!

This cake isn't from that recipe, though that was my goal.  I hadn't thawed the butter in time.  Perhaps another day.

Later, it's knitting, knitting, knitting...provided I don't fall asleep...
